Eventing Junior Program
Eventing NSW has a strong Junior Program, running group training clinics in areas around the state. These are advertised on the website and in The Eventer.
Eventing NSW supports and trains teams to represent the State at major events.
Young Rider & Junior Training Programs
The program focuses on group training for riders in cross country, jumping and dressage concentrating on sport development with a view to encouraging riders to produce quality and safe performances at the current level of the horse-rider combination. This training does not take the place of individual coaching on flatwork and jumping and is available to any junior member of Eventing NSW.
The program for reviewed annually by the Junior Committee and clinics are run in the following areas:
Central West (Mudgee)
Sydney
New England (Armidale or Tamworth)
Highlands or Albury-Wodonga
usually in the Easter and September holidays, where the timetable allows.
Annual Awards for Junior Horse & Riders
Recognition is given to the junior rider and horse combination at the Equestrian NSW Annual Awards night calculated from a point score on all competitions throughout the year. An award is also presented to the highest placed Junior rider competing at EvA 105cm level.
Equestrian NSW Equi-skills Program
This program is supported by a number of instructors and while aimed at younger riders is also open to all amateur riders, senior and junior. It involves training in riding and horsemanship, using Work Books provided by Equestrian Australia. Please see details below.
